What are the charges you need to pay for Aadhaar card update?
Here are the charges that one needs to pay for updating details such as name, address, photograpgh etc. in Aadhaar card. However, certain facilties are free of cost.

As per the circular, Biometric update will cost Rs 100. Biometric updation includes updation of fingerprints and IRIS. Demographic updation will cost Rs 50. Demographic update includes updating name, date of birth, address etc.

*Update of more than one field on single instance will be considered as one update.
Individuals can get their e-Aadhaar card printed from the Aadhaar enrolment centre by paying Rs 30. However, if you are enrolling for Aadhaar for the first time, then you will not be required to pay any charges. Similarly, mandatory update of biometric for children between the ages of five years and 15 years is free of cost.
Individuals should keep in mind that if they update both their biometric and demographic details, then the enrolment centre cannot charge more than Rs 100. Further, if you update more than one field, i.e., updating mobile number, email ID and address etc. in one go, then the enrolment centre cannot charge more than Rs 50. However, if you make different visits update demographic details, you will be charged separately.
