Tata Realty to develop Rs 3,500-crore IT city in Chennai

The state-of art commercial and residential 'Ramanujan IT City', to be built over 26-acres of land at Taramani area of Chennai, is promoted by TRIL Infopark, a JV between TRIL, TIDCO and Indian Hotels Company.
The project's premium residential community called 'Cambridge Greens' would be ready for occupancy by mid-2011, a press release issued by TRIL stated.
The SEZ will have duly notified IT/ITeS along with residential apartments, mall, serviced apartments and an international convention centre.
The project, a tribute to legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan by the Tata Group, will have 150 super luxury apartments ranging between 2,000-3,000 sq ft with world-class amenities and modern fire detection systems.
"Chennai is an emerging IT hub and Ramanujan city aims to be the most sought after property with excellent connectivity, concentration on social infrastructure and contemporary architectural design," TRIL's CEO and Managing Director, Sanjay Ubale, said.
The master plan of the residential part is to be done by New York-based Skidmore Owings and Merrill (SOM), a world- renowned master planning company, the company said.
