Supertech home buyers may seek review of High Court order
NEW DELHI: Home buyers in Supertech’s two 40-storey apartment towers in Noida are considering filing a review petition in the Allahabad High Court against its order to demolish the towers for violating building regulations.

“Our view was not heard by the court before giving the order so we will file a review petition against the order in the Allahabad High Court. We want natural justice,” said Dhirendra Sharma, who runs a manpower supply firm and stays in a rented accommodation in Delhi. He had bought a two-bedroom apartment in Apex tower.

“What is the use of taking a refund? We will not able to use that money to buy a similar flat in the area. Since we bought, prices have gone up considerably,” he said. In its order last week, the court had directed Supertech to refund the money to buyers “with 14% interest compounded annually within four months from the date of filing of a certified copy” of the order. It had also ordered prosecution of officials of the Noida authority and executives of the developer for allowing and carrying out illegal construction.
