Sotheby's selling exhibition to showcase assertive and witty work

KOLKATA: Sot otheby's S|2 London is presenting JUST NOW - curated by Bert Kreuk, this selling exhibition, from January 30 to March 4 presents assertive and witty works by some of the most sought-after and stimulating contemporary artists working today, including Oscar Murillo, Alex Hubbard, Danh Vo and Theaster Gates.

For Kreuk, collecting art is part of an educational journey and his faith in the ongoing relevance of conceptual art underpins this exhibition. Carefully selected from Kreuk's own collection, these works reveal an emerging generation of artists who, inspired by traditional techniques, are developing conceptual works that increasingly focus on a performative narrative.

S|2 is the dedicated exhibition selling space of Sotheby's global Contemporary Art department, offering exceptional works of art through unique and important exhibitions throughout the world.

Exhibition programming has included shows dedicated to the works of individual artists, such as: Joseph Beuys, Keith Haring, Yayoi Kusama and Jean-Michel Basquiat, to shows curated by art world figures including Vito Schnabel and Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld. The works on display in S|2 are available for private sale, offering an exciting new dimension to the Sotheby's experience. In addition to gallery programming, the S|2 team also facilitates bespoke private acquisitions and sales.
