Sotheby's sale of fine Chinese ceramics and art works fetch $23,281,415
At Sotheby's in London, the sale of Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art brought a total of £14,486,600/$23,281,415, surpassing the high estimate (£7.4-10.8 million/$11.9-17.4 million).

Robert Bradlow, head of Sotheby’s London Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Department, said: "Today’s sale brought £14.5 million, one of the highest totals for a Sotheby’s London sale in this category. We saw strong results for ceramics, metalwork, jade and furniture with collectors driving prices for the very best pieces over their high estimates.
"The pursuit for the finest examples of Chinese ceramics and works of art continues unabated and our London auction follows hot on the heels of Sotheby’s recent successes in Hong Kong and New York. I was thrilled to see heated competition for the top lot in the sale, the ‘Dragon’ Moonflask, which came to auction from an English Private Collection with its importance and rarity unrecognised."
