Shriram Life partners with Telenor to offer Life Insurance

MUMBAI: Shriram Life Insurance Company, the life insurance arm of Shriram group, has tied up with Telenor India Communications, a move aimed at providing life insurance services to the telecom customers.

Shriram Life Insurance in partnership with Telenor shall give Insurance cover to all Telenor subscribers who opt in, through Group life insurance product, the company said in a release.

S Natarajan, director, Shriram Group at the launch event said, "This tie up will offer an opportunity to spread insurance awareness among the large rural and semi-urban subscribers of Telenor and increase insurance penetration on low ticket size to a large subscriber base."

Manoj Jain, CEO & whole time director, Shriram Life said, 'Both Government and IRDA is focused towards providing affordable insurance to all segments of society."

"This initiative shall empower the 'AAM AADMI' with both choice and opportunities towards financial security," he said.

Telecom Sector enjoys higher penetration and thus, it will be an opportunity for Shriram Life to bring larger section of society under the umbrella of Insurance through this unique tie-up with Telenor, the company said in a release.
