SBI server down: Customers complain about issues regarding net banking, UPI on Twitter

Many State Bank of India (SBI) customers were facing issues with net banking and UPI in some cases on April 3, 2023. The SBI users have complained regarding the bank server's slow response on microblogging site, Twitter.

The server is down or non-responsive services, including net banking, UPI payments, and the official SBI app (YONO), as per the Twitter complaints.

“We regret to inform you that due to a “technical glitch” some of our digital services were impacted for a few hours on April 03, 2023. However, the issue stands resolved, and the digital services are live and restored. We apologize for the inconvenience to our valued customers. The bank is always working toward implementing measures to prevent
such occurrences. We thank you for your patience and continued trust in SBI,” stated SBI in statement on April 3, 2023, regarding the server issue.

Here is a look at what had happened.

On April 1, 2023 SBI had informed of server maintenance: The services of INB/YONO/UPI will not be available from 13:30 HRS to 16:45 HRS on 01.04.2023 due to annual closing activities.


Down Detector India stated in tweet: User reports indicate State Bank of India (SBI) is having problems since 9:19 AM IST.


One user complained, “SBI is down from yesterday. Instant trasactions are successfull from other back to SBI but money is not credited to SBI accont”


Another customer stated: “Very bad service couldn't send money to family,they are in hospital and I am not present at home. Don't know why you are existing in banking sector SBI.Cannot withdraw my own money.Worst bank of India.”



“SBI website is not opening, probably the server is down. They have already kept the service off for maintenance for the last few days. But today the entire server is down,” bank customer said.
