Rs 6,000-cr project pushes DLF share up 4%

DLF shares surged nearly 4% on the company bagging a project worth Rs 6,000 crore for the design, development and operation of an international convention centre at Dwarka from Delhi Development Authority.



MUMBAI: DLF shares surged nearly 4% on the company bagging a project worth Rs 6,000 crore for the design, development and operation of an international convention centre at Dwarka from Delhi Development Authority. The shares were also up ahead of Apr-Jun results Thursday.

At 11:56 am, the DLF share rose 3.91% to Rs 634 with volume traded at 19,08,670 against two-week average of 63,92,328 shares on the BSE.

Located close to Delhi's international airport, the proposed convention centre will have a built up area of about 2 million square feet and land cost of Rs 900 crore. The centre will be designed as per the international norms and comparable to Suntec Convention Center, Singapore, the company said in a notice to the BSE.

The centre will comprise 650,000 square feet for convention and exhibition complex, 650,000 square feet for a hotel complex, and 395,000 square feet for a commercial complex.
