Punj Lloyd wins contract to build 194 luxury villas in Kolkata West International City

Punj Lloyd Group has announced that it has won the contract for construction of 194 villas at Kolkata West International City (KWIC).

NEW DELHI: Punj Lloyd Group has announced that it has won the contract for construction of 194 villas at Kolkata West International City (KWIC), a satellite township in West Bengal. The project worth Rs 99 crore is scheduled to be completed in 15 months.

"With this new order, we have now entered into the niche segment of luxury villas in India," SS Raju, president and chief executive officer, buildings and infrastructure (India) at Punj Lloyd.

KWIC, located on national highway 6, west of Howrah, is a self-contained city coming up on 400 acres of land and will include housing, commercial spaces, recreational centres as well as hospitals.

The global engineering, procurement and construction conglomerate Punj Lloyd has worked on other residential projects internationally like the Jumeirah Islands Villa project in Dubai and The Edge on Cairnhill in Singapore. With this latest contract, the order backlog for Punj Lloyd Group on a consolidated basis has gone up to Rs 25,838 crore.
