Pune builders booked for not depositing the provident fund money
As per the complaint, the accused did not deposit the amount, totally worth Rs 42.39 lakhs, in the PF accounts of their employees between April and September, 2016.

An EPF officer Avinash Patra, a resident of Dhayari, lodged complaint with the Deccan Gymkhana police station on Tuesday following which police booked the two executive directors of the construction company, having its office on the Ghole road in Deccan.
Police booked the two executive directors who are brothers and running the construction company for last few decades. According to the complaint, the two brothers did not deposit the amount, totally worth Rs 42.39 lakhs, in the PF accounts of their employees between April and September, 2016. The complaint states that the company and its management used the money for their personal use instead of depositing it in the account. The company had deducted the PF amount from the salaries of their employees.
During the verification process, the PF authorities realized about the malpractice and lodged a complaint. An officer from the office of the builder told TOI that the builder deposited the money within 24 hours after complaint was registered against the builder. The officer said that the same has been communicated to police and the PF authorities.
