Osian’s will present India’s first professional sports auction of India’s Cricketing Heritage from its new restructured auction house.

KOLKATA: Auction house Osian’s will present India’s first professional sports auction of India’s Cricketing Heritage from its new restructured auction house. The opening auction preview will be held on Friday 6th September 2013 at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai. The event will include the launch of the catalogue-publication – India’s Glorious Cricketing Heritage, edited by Neville Tuli, chairman of Osian’s Group, with contributions from many experts including Kapil Dev, Ajit Wadekar, Aunshuman Gaekwad, EAS Prasanna, Sam Carter, Charlie Campbell and Grahame Lloyd, among others.

The Guests of Honour will also include two other living cricketing legends – Nari Contractor and Salim Durrani. The panel discussion will feature Bishen Singh Bedi, Ajit Wadekar, EAS Prasanna and Anshuman Gaekwad, discussing all aspects of the game’s history from bowling to leadership and from the fans to batting.

The Preview Exhibition will be open to the public from 7-12 September at Osian’s. historically significant memorabilia will be on display, such as photographs of the first Test Team to unique bats, wickets, gloves, ties, badges, sweaters and books pertaining to the great Indian cricketing heritage which ranges from icons such as Shri Kumar Ranjitsinhji to the young, and masters such as Vijay Hazare, GS Ramchand, Ajit Wadekar, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, the famous spin quartet, MAK Pataudi, and many others.
