The first-of-its-kind initiative to digitise land records will allow the citizens to download digitally signed copies of their record from the website.

According to the government statistics, land records of more than 78,000 property owners consisting of more than 1,80,000 khasras (index register to the map) were now available on the website www.dlrc.delhigovt.nic.in.

The initiative will allow the citizen to have 24x7 accesses to their record of rights and also bring in enhanced transparency. Multiple copies can also be printed directly.
"The move will help in many ways as the legal status of ownership of a property can be checked by any prospective buyer from the website, thus safeguarding him against transactions by unscrupulous elements," District Magistrate south-west, Ankur Garg said.
The digitalisation process will also reduce the work-load of the revenue department as people will no longer have to queue up at patwari office for getting their record of rights.
Garg further informed online mutation module has also been developed so that the database remains updated at all times.
People can contact Kapashera and Najafgarh sub-division office if they find any error due to computerisation of record.
Records have been digitised in Devnagari script with the facility of a virtual Hindi keyboard enabling easy search like based on name.
