Noida RWA Federation demands conversion of leasehold to freehold

Residents are ready to pay the conversion charges," said N P Singh, President of FONRWA.

NOIDA: Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association ( FONRWA) today wrote to Noida Chief Executive officer demanding conversion of leasehold to freehold and raising other unresolved issues.

"While the state government has introduced conversion to freehold and all housing boards, including Ghaziabad Development Authority, Noida authority officials were not implementing it. Residents are ready to pay the conversion charges," said N P Singh, President of FONRWA.

FONRWA has also sought increase in the Floor Area Ratio so that residents can construct 3.5 floors. At present, though Noida authority had hiked FAR from 150 to 180 but it allowed construction upto 3 floors only from the earlier 2.5 floor.

"We have demanded hike of FAR to 250 and height limit from 15 meter to 18 meter to enable Noida plot owners to construct four storeys as in Delhi," said Singh.

FONRWA also demanded toll-free movement on DND flyway. "DND flyway should be made toll-free. Noida authority should take over the flyway from NTBCL", said Singh.
