Noida extension home buyers demand registration as per 2010 circle rates

NOIDA: Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (Nefowa) the umbrella organization that leads the homebuyers' concerns in Noida Extension today demanded that registration for new apartments be granted as per carpet area and according to circle rates of year 2010 when the apartments were booked.

The buyers positioned these demands with the committee of visiting officers who have been deputed to address the concerns of the buyers in Noida by the state government. The high level committee, appointed by the state government met both buyers and builders from Noida and Greater Noida at the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. The meeting started at 3:30pm.

Among those who attended were Industries minister Satish Mahana, urban housing minister Suresh Khanna and state minister (independent charge) of cane development and sugar mills Suresh Rana. Local MLA, Pankaj Singh was also present during the interaction. They met both buyers and builders.

"We have demanded that the registrations be done as per circle rates of 2010 as we are not responsible for the delayed construction. The circle rates have increased a lot ever since. We have also asked for an explanation why the RERA was diluted in the state. The committee gave us a patient hearing," Abhishek Kumar, president, Nefowa said.

The interaction with the buyers was held at the new administrative building of GNIDA. It was attended by over 400 buyers. The buyers have been assured of some solutions after today's interaction.
