We already told you about Nirav Modi's Golconda Lotus necklace, a one of a kind piece with a 12.29 carat pear-shaped Golconda diamond at its centre, that sold at a Christie's sale for approximately Rs. 16 crore in November last year.

At the beginning of this month, a pair of coloured diamond ear pendants sold for Rs. 6 crore at another Christie's auction in Hong Kong.

The 18k white gold earrings, which are set with fancy intense blue, pink and white diamonds, are designed to mirror each other - just upside down.

While one ear pendent is set with an oval-shaped diamond terminal weighing 2.06 carats, within a brilliant-cut diamond frame, which culminates with a pear-shaped fancy intense blue diamond surmount weighing 1.24 carats, spaced by brilliant and pear-shaped pink diamonds and a marquise-cut diamond; the other is similarly (inversely) set with an oval-shaped fancy intense blue diamond terminal weighing 2.22 carats, surmounted by a pear-shaped diamond weighing 1.53 carats.

Nirav Modi, a third-generation diamond jeweller, is known for his one-off jewellery pieces created using white and coloured diamonds.
