NEW DELHI: Mumbai has emerged as the favourite Indian city, while the national capital secured the second position, according to a survey conducted by a travel magazine.

Conde Nast Traveller India conferred the 'Favourite Indian City' title to Mumbai after a year long survey among its readers and awarded the runner's up spot to Delhi.

In other categories, Goa is awarded the 'Favourite Indian Leisure Destination' with Kerala bagging the second position.

Besides, Coorg in Karnataka is awarded 'Favourite Emerging Indian Destination' followed by Leh-Ladakh in the second position.

Reader's Travel Awards by Conde Nast Traveller India has been recognising the best of travel experiences to deliver the most prestigious award in travel industry, a statement said.

In another segment, London won the title of 'Favourite Overseas City' among Indians followed closely by Dubai which emerged as the runners up in the category. The awards were given away to the winners by Tourism Secretary Lalit K Panwar.
