Move to cancel land deals by realtor Rajaiah

It may invoke the Ceiling Act to cancel the transcations. Rajaiah had reportedly purchased thousand of acres through registered agreement of sale-cum-general power of attorney after payment of the amount to vendors and allegedly sold it to Raju���s family and companies owned by them.
The revenue department has sought a report from Ranga Reddy (RR) and Nalgonda district administration on land transactions made by Akula Rajaiah a couple of days ago.
Revenue officials said Akula Rajaiah had acquired 3659.45 acres in Manchal and Patancheru mandals of Ranga Reddy and Medak district.
Rajaiah and his family members acquired 3659 acres in Arutla, Loyapally and Bodakonda villages of Manchal mandal in which 3452 acres was through sale-cum-GPA agreement. The broker had purchased another 189 acres directly from land owners.
The teacher-turned-realtor has another 1.55 acres in Rudraram village in Patancheru mandal of Medak district. Apart from the land, Rajaiah reportedly purchased another 2,000 acres in Nalgonda district.
������As per government records, he holds only 54.88 acres, but he was involved in sale of thousands of acres. The revenue department got them verified a few months ago by tahsildars of Manchal and Patancheru, which revealed Rajaiah purchased 3,659 acres through GPA,������ an official said.
������We suspect he purchased 3,600 acres. Most of the land was either sold to Maytas firms or Ramalinga Raju���s family,������ a senior official of the RR district administration said.
