M'lore Central Excise collects Rs 3913 cr tax

BANGALORE: The Mangalore Central Excise Commissionerate has collected Rs 3913 crore tax during the last fiscal, a top official said.

The Commissionerate collected Rs 3913 crore as against the target of Rs 2685 crore in the last financial year, Ajit Kumar, Commissioner of Central Excise, Mangalore told reporters here on Monday.

The current year target was aimed at Rs 3950 crore. In the customs collections, the Commissionerate has achieved a collection Rs 600 crore as against the target of Rs 590 crore, he said, adding the current year target was aimed at Rs 840 crore.
