MasterCard rejigs portfolio to target growth

Global real-time payment processing firm MasterCard said it has reshuffled its senior management portfolio to exploit new growth opportunities.

MUMBAI: Global real-time payment processing firm MasterCard today said it has reshuffled its senior management portfolio to exploit new growth opportunities.

The company's Division President for South East and South Asia, Ajay Bhalla will be the President of the recently acquired DataCash in the UK with effect from June 6, MasterCard said in a statement.

"Bhalla will lead MasterCard's global end-to-end gateway processing solutions organisations. He will be responsible for their overall management, operations and strategic vision," it said.

The firm's Regional Key Relationships Division Matthew Driver has been appointed as the Division President, South East Asia with immediate effect.

He will be handling MasterCard's business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Indochina.

Driver, however will continue to manage the key customer relationships until a suitable successor is found, it said.

The company also said that T V Seshadri has been appointed as General Manager of South Asia and India President to promote MasterCard's business in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.
