Maharashtra sets up tribunal to hear appeal against MahaRERA rulings
The government of Maharashtra has set up a tribunal to hear the appeal against the rulings of Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority.

MUMBAI: The government of Maharashtra has set up a tribunal to hear appeal against the rulings of Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA).
The responsibility has been designated by the government to Maharashtra Revenue Tribunal, located in Mumbai.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by the first provison to sub-section (4) of section 43 of Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (16 of 2016) (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”) the Government of Maharashtra, being the appropriate Government in respect of matters relating to the State, hereby designates the Maharashtra Revenue Tribunal at Brihan Mumbai constituted and functioning under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (Mah.XLI of 1966) to be the Appellate Tribunal to hear the appeals under the said Act, until the establishment of the Maharashtra Real Estate Appellate Tribunal under section 43 of the said Act,” read the notification released on Thursday.
