LIC's Ernakulam division has sold 3,67,239 policies in the current year, its Senior Divisional Manager J Anilkumar told mediapersons here.
Having crossed 80.90 per cent of its targeted budget in first premium, the division has now set an ambitious target of Rs 1,500 crore first premium income for the current fiscal.
The division has also sold a large number of ULIP policies, he said.
The division could sell 2,56,267 ULIP policies for a total premium collection of Rs 765.53 crore. The major share of the premium has come from market plus and most popular unit linked product. The division could collect Rs 593.56 crore of first premium through market plus policies, he said.
