LIC Jalpaiguri division nets Rs 301.88 cr as first premium
The Jalpaiguri division of LIC has registered 440571 new policies during 2007-2008 and accumulated an amount of Rs 301.88 crore as first premium income.

JALPAIGURI: The Jalpaiguri division of LIC has registered 440571 new policies during 2007-2008 and accumulated an amount of Rs 301.88 crore as first premium income.
The first premium income in the last financial year was Rs 271.55 crore.
Divisional manager of Jalpaiguri division Arup Dasgupta told the 52nd foundation day of LIC here on Monday an amount of Rs 89,012 has been invested for implementing developmental schemes throughout the country.
On this occasion, they distributed fruits and sweets among hospital patients and conducted various competition among the students. Teachers were also felicitated on the occasion.
