The net employment outlook for India has dropped by 3%, bringing it down to 92% for the October-March 2018-19 period, finds the Employment Outlook report by TeamLease Services.

How bad is the fall in hiring?
- 5% is the fall in entry-level hiring sentiment
- 4% is the fall in senior-level hiring sentiment
- 3% is the fall in junior level hiring sentiment
- Mid-level hiring sentiment has increased by 3%.
What are the affected sectors?
- 4% has been the decrease in hiring sentiment in marketing jobs
- 3% is the fall for IT related jobs
- 2% has been the fall for engineering and human resources jobs
- Sales and office services reported significant increase of 3% in hiring sentiment.
What is the situation like across cities?
- 2% is the drop in outlook in Metro and Tier 1 cities
- 1% is the drop in Tier 2 cities
- 1% is the increase in Tier 3 cities
- No change was seen in rural areas.
