Insurance scheme for fishermen from Aug 15
Maharashtra Government would launch an insurance scheme for fishermen from August 15. The scheme would cover over three lakh fishermen, Minister for Fisheries Anees Ahmed informed the Legislative Assembly here on Monday.

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Government would launch an insurance scheme for fishermen from August 15. The scheme would cover over three lakh fishermen, Minister for Fisheries Anees Ahmed informed the Legislative Assembly here on Monday.
Replying to a query, the minister said both the State and Central Governments would share the financial burden for implementing the scheme.
