81% of respondents wanted to holiday this monsoon

Short breaks works best

47.2% respondents wanted to get away for 1-5 days.

45.9% wanted to travel between 5 and 15 days

6.9% would consider getting away for more than 15 days.

Destination India
Munnar in Kerala, Goa, the North-East and the Andaman Islands were the destinations of choice.

72.8% wanted to travel to exotic destinations within the country.

31.4% found the beach more attractive.
47.1% wanted to head to the hills.

Luxury travel takes a backseat
39.4% willing to spend Rs 10,000-25,000 on their holiday.

18.7% would spend Rs 25,000-50,000

17% would wrap up costs within Rs 10,000

Budget travel dominates

43.5% would spend Rs 2,500-5,000 per night on hotel accommodation

31.8% would settle for rooms worth Rs 1,000-2,500 per night

12.3% would consider rooms between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000

Cards are the way to pay

62.2% respondents would pay for their holiday using credit cards.

16.7% would use debit cards

9.6% would use cash
