MUMBAI: HSBC India on Monday said it has launched a card protection plan in association with CPP Assistance Services that provides protection to cardholders against frauds.

Cardholders, upon realising that cards have been misplaced or stolen, can make call to the CPP 24 hour toll-free helpline that will block all their cards immediately, an HSBC press release said today.

The cards will be protected against fraud from a period of seven days prior to the date of loss, up to Rs one lakh. Additionally, there is a fraud protection cover of up to Rs 20 lakh, post notification of card loss, the release said.

Apart from the debit and credit cards, the customer can also register any other cards such as ATM, membership and loyalty cards, it said.
