How to check Aadhaar authentication history

The need and usage of UIDAI’s Aadhaar number has become increasingly important. The Aadhaar number needs to be linked to one’s income tax records, bank account, insurance policies, investment records such as mutual funds, provident fund, pension accounts and so on.

The individual needs to access the following link: https://uidai.gov.in/en A link named “Aadhaar Authentication History” appears under the “Aadhaar Services” tab.


Details
Aadhaar number of the individual needs to be entered in the form displayed on clicking the link. A security code appearing on the screen also needs to be entered. Next, the “generate OTP” button is to be clicked that sends an OTP to the individual’s registered mobile number.

Choice of the type of data required
The individual needs to choose the authentication type. If individual wants to access all data, he can select “All”. A date range of not greater than 6 months needs to be specifi ed. Number of records (max 50) that should be displayed on screen also must be mentioned.

Authentication
The OTP received on the mobile number must be entered in order to access usage history.

Info usage history
Once authentication is successful, an elaborate list of authentication history showing date, time, transaction id, authentication response (successful or not) and type of authentication is populated.

Points to note
1. In order to access this service, a valid mobile number must be registered and verified in the Aadhaar records.
2. The report populated using this service does not mention the names of the entity that have used/authenticated Aadhaar data.
