HDIL to develop 70 acre land in Kochi

Real estate firm Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) says it will develop 70 acres of land at Kalamaserry in Kochi.

NEW DELHI: Real estate firm Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) on Friday said it will develop 70 acres of land at Kalamaserry in Kochi, earlier owned by HMT.

HDIL has entered into a joint development agreement with Blue Star Realtors for development of 70 acres of land at Kalamaserry, which was earlier tendered by HMT, HDIL said in a statement.

On October 17, 2006, Blue Star Realtors pursuant to tender bids called by HMT, had purchased 70 acres of land at Kalamaserry through 'Deed of Absolute Sale'.

HDIL would develop along with Blue Star Realtors 7.9 million sq ft, IT Park, out of which around 5.4 million sq ft would be for IT ventures and the rest 2.5 million sq ft would be for residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

The project could generate around 60,000 jobs in Kochi, HDIL added.
