HDFC ERGO General Insurance launches online home insurance product

MUMBAI: Private general insurance player HDFC ERGO General Insurance introduced HDFC ERGO Home Insurance Policy, a home insurance product on an online platform here today.

The product provides complete protection for a home covering the structure as well as its contents against fire and allied perils, besides burglary, with an option for protection from terrorism, a company release said.

The product covers a host of household items like electronic equipments, furniture and furnishings, jewellery, clothes and so on.

The company also offers motor insurance, travel insurance, health insurance, personal accident insurance and two-wheeler insurance online.

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is a 74:26 joint venture between housing finance institution HDFC Ltd and ERGO International AG, the primary insurance entity of Munich Re Group.
