Freedom fighters' pension raised

Rajasthan Government on Saturday issued a notification raising freedom fighters' honorary monthly pension from Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,000.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government on Saturday issued a notification raising freedom fighters' honorary monthly pension from Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,000.

Freedom fighters or their dependents are eligible to receive the pension, an official spokesman said.

The revised amount will be payable from August 15.
