NAGPUR: Four land dealers and developers have been booked for alleged fraud of Rs 68.50 lakhs, police said on Friday.
The accused identified as Vijay Singh (45), Suhas Shingnekar (55), Rajendra Ninabe and Santosh Salunke (both aged 42 years) allegedly took the sum from the complainant Purushottam Narayan Bhange (56) after a sale agreement with him for a piece of land here, they said.
Later they refused to transfer the plot to him following which the accused were booked under relevant sections of IPC and also under Prevention of Atrocities on SC/ST Act.
The complaint was lodged yesterday with Pratap Nagar Police station.
No arrests have been made in the case, police added.
