Fine and Rare Wines collection at Christie's Hong Kong sold 96% by lot, 98% by value
Fine and Rare Wines From An Esteemed Connoisseur's Private Collection at Christie's HK totaled HK$62,484,188/US$8,088,484, and was sold 96% by lot and 98% by value.

Simon Tam, head of wine, Christie's China, said in an email statement, "We saw the evolution of Hong Kong wine market from the Burgundy-focused collection dated March 2013 to this single-owner collection which offered top quality wine from wine producers across the world ranging from renowned French vineyards to Italy, Spain, California and more."
One of the largest Italian wine collection offered at a Christie's Hong Kong wine auction and a comprehensive Champagne collection were all sold well above estimates.
"We are delighted to see the theme of this collection - worldwide vinous journey - is not only represented by the variety of the wine sold but also by the participation of buyers from 14 countries across Asia, Americas and Europe. The resurgence of interest proves the depth and width of the wine market in Hong Kong. This is another successful sale in Hong Kong for Christie's to underline our position as a global leading wine auctioneer," Tam said.
