Faster delivery of I-T refunds in more cities

NEW DELHI: Income tax assessees in Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore will be able to get expeditious refunds of their claims like those in Delhi and Patna from September 30.

The Income Tax Department would extend the scheme of faster delivery of refunds through SBI to these four circles. The scheme, called Refund Banker Scheme, is currently available for Delhi and Patna only.
