Emami-Chisel to unveil first-ever exclusive scultures show

KOLKATA: Integrated art house Emami-Chisel is unveiling it’s first-ever exclusive scultures show. The exhibition embraces 21 senior and young artists, covering 41 works Various mediums have been employed, ranging across wood, bronze, terracotta, fibre, and even other non-conventional materials like jute and varied metals. Coloured metal and coloured wood has also been used.

The exhibition primarily aims to present the traditional and new perception in the context of contemporary ideology prevalent in the sculture field. Different areas, distinctive style and aesthetic style have been focused to give a certain noble meaning within the solidity of the three-dimensional form.

The exhibition, which runs from July 14-30, will bring to the fore the realities and complexities of new challenges being faced by the artists. All the sculptures display an eclectic synthesis of the image-symbol relationship within the process of reshaping the thought and ideas behind them.

Various subjects have been explored by the sculptors like portraits, animal and human figures in different postures and surrealistic vision of known objects and form.
