NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today met Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath and discussed a number of issues, including construction of low cost houses in the city.

Sources said Dikshit requested Nath to remove bottlenecks for extending the floor area ratio (FAR) in certain localities and construction of low cost houses.

FAR is the ratio of total building floor area to the total size of the plot.

Dikshit has also discussed certain issues pertaining to preparation of detailed project report for Kochi metro rail network by DMRC, the sources said.

The Chief Minister is understood to have informed Nath about steps being taken by Delhi government to provide basic facilities in the 895 unauthorised colonies which were regularised by Delhi government in September last year.
