DDA flats to be soon ready for allotment
DDA announced that demand-cum-allotment letters have been dispatched and allottees should expect to receive them by Sept 30.
According to DDA, the process of verification of allottees has been completed. However, there is still time before the flats in these seven areas can be handed over as DDA is yet to install lifts there or make them operational. "Demand letters for allotments made in these areas have not yet been issued as the flats there are at an advanced stage of completion. They are ready in some areas but are being held up due to non-operational lifts," informed a DDA official. "All individual allottees of these locations have already been informed about this through letters," the official added.
DDA's housing department had convened a review meeting of the allotment process on Monday. According to officials, the status of all flats has been uploaded on DDA website. "And all the allottees have been advised to bear with DDA till these flats are completed," mentioned a statement released by DDA. The land development agency had conducted a draw of lots for nearly 16,000 flats on April 18 this year. However, the results were alleged to be unfair as there were cases where several flats had been allotted to the members of the same family. According to DDA, there was a delay in the allotment of flats due to verification of allottees after such cases came to light.
