Cigna TTK Health gets IRDA approval; to begin operations soon

MUMBAI: Cigna TTK Health Insurance Company, a joint venture between US-based global health service provider Cigna Corporation and TTK Group, today said it has received regulatory license from IRDA last week and will commence its operations soon.

"We are happy to announce that we have received the regulatory approval from Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) to commence operations in India. The company is set to commence its operations soon," Cigna TTK Health Insurance Managing Director and CEO Sandeep Patel said.

The company's plans to improve the health, well-being and sense of security of the people and will strongly leverage Cigna's global health services experience and expertise and the TTK group's offer an innovative suite of products backed by an enhanced customer experience, the company release said.

Cigna TTK is a stand-alone health insurance company, headquartered in Mumbai and will look to roll out a pan India presence.
