Budget 2012: IDSA seeks rationalisation of taxes & incorporation of GST

NEW DELHI:The Indian Direct Selling Association (IDSA), which represents direct selling companies like Amway, Tupperware and Oriflame in the country, on Tuesday said it is seeking rationalisation of taxes, reforms in allowing more foreign investment and incorporation of the GST in the upcoming Union Budget.

IDSA secretary general Chavi Hemanth said in a statement: "While inflation is one factor keeping prices high, the other big factor is that manufacturers need to pass on high indirect taxes to consumers."
