Broker's Breach Candy flat may fetch Rs 21.25 crore

A stock broker has entered into an agreement to sell his three-bedroom sea-view flat in Breach Candy Apartments for Rs 21.25 crore.

A stock broker has entered into an agreement to sell his three-bedroom sea-view flat in Breach Candy Apartments on South Mumbai’s Warden Road for Rs 21.25 crore, or Rs 1,22,500 per sq ft based on a carpet area of 1,735 sq ft, said persons in the know.

Earlier this year, an apartment in Tahnee Heights on Nepean Sea Road fetched Rs 1.2 lakh per sq ft based on built-up space of 3,320 sq ft, setting a new national record.

However, the stock broker, in an email response to ET, said discussions were under way and negotiation on details, payments and values, etc, yet to be finalised.

According to property consultants, Breach Candy Apartments being an old property has a loading of around 10% that works out to built-up space of 1,908 sq ft, valuing the flat Rs 111,300 per sq ft. The buyer’s name could not be ascertained.
