Brigade enters affordable home space

BANGALORE: There is one more addition to the long list of real estate developers jumping into the affordable home space with Bangalore-based Brigade Enterprises announcing the launch of Brigade Value Homes.

The company is launching four projects simultaneously — one each in north, south, east and west Bangalore.

“There is a huge pent-up demand for housing in India with estimates putting this figure at about 24 million to 26 million homes. We are looking at providing buyers quality living at an affordable price,” said MR Jaishankar, CMD of Brigade Group.

He said that residents would have access to a full range of facilities like landscaped gardens, clubhouse with swimming pool, gym and sports facilities.

Although the Brigade Group is looking to construct as many as 10,000 affordable homes in these four locations, bookings would be initially available for 2,500 of these with prices ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 26 lakh. Booking for the initial 2,500 flats would be open from November 20 and run till December 6.

Buyers who would have to pay up anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh at the time of booking and can place this in an interest-bearing deposit account with Corporation Bank.
