Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials said private and public banks have approached them offering to open their counters at the authority's headquarters on October 2 and 3, both of which are national holidays, to continue the sale of forms.
"We have been in talks with banks who agreed to run their counters at our premises to continue the sale of housing scheme forms over the holidays. This decision has been taken as not %only have the sale of forms picked up in the past few days, but even the number of submissions have increased," said a senior DDA official. One of the banks opening their branches at DDA is Kotak Mahindra.
Around 16.5 lakh forms have already been sold over DDA's website, its counters and form counters and websites of several banks. DDA also received 80,000 forms till Monday evening.
Several lakh forms are now expected to be submitted to the authority in the coming days. Delhi Development Authority is reportedly also toying with the idea of extending the last day of submission of forms.
