Bajaj Auto Finance offers extended warranty scheme

In an attempt to stop declining sales, country's second-largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto on Tuesday launched an extended warranty programme under the company's finance scheme.

NEW DELHI: In an attempt to stop declining sales, country's second-largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto on Tuesday launched an extended warranty programme under the company's finance scheme.

Bajaj Auto Finance (BAF) launched a scheme wherein the company's every motorcycle financed by BAF would receive free extended warranty.

"With this initiative, Bajaj Auto Finance aims at capitalising on the void created in the market due to the exit of many banks and NBFCs from the two-wheeler financing business," the company said in a statement.

For a loan of 36 months' tenure, the free extended warranty offered by BAF would be for the entire 36 months, BAF Vice President (Retail Finance) K Srinivas said.

"The customer, therefore, needs to only ensure timely payment of EMIs, while Bajaj Auto Finance largely takes care of the cost of vehicle maintenance," he added.

BAF covers over 300 Bajaj dealerships across the country.
