Ashiana Housing to sell nearly 11 acres of land in Jodhpur

Realty firm Ashiana Housing today said it has decided to sell 10.92 acres of land in Jodhpur due to lack of proper connectivity to develop this project.

NEW DELHI: Realty firm Ashiana Housing today said it has decided to sell 10.92 acres of land in Jodhpur due to lack of proper connectivity to develop this project.

In a filing to the BSE, Ashiana Housing said that "the company has sold/agreed to sell the land in village Tanawarna, Jodhpur admeasuring 10.92 acres which was bought in the year 2007".

The company, which focuses more on developing homes for elderly people, has decided to sell the land as currently the access to the land is not of requisite quality.

Moreover, the possibility of getting better access in the near future is not visible.

"As the land would have remained undevelopable for the near term, the company envisage it better to exit the project," the filing said.

Ashiana has built and delivered over 10 million sq ft of residential and commercial space in Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR. It is currently developing projects at Bhiwadi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jamshedpur and Lavasa near Pune.
