Among participating artists are Anjolie Ela Menon, Paresh Maity, Mithu Sen, G. R. Iranna, T. M. Azis, Pransanta Sahu and Chandra Bhattacharjee.

KOLKATA: RPG Academy of Art & Music is staging its art camp at Marve from February 10 to February 15, 2013. It is hosted by Harsh Goenka and Vickram Sethi of Arts Trust. The event has been continuing for 15 years.

Among participating artists are Anjolie Ela Menon, Paresh Maity, Mithu Sen, G. R. Iranna, T. M. Azis, Pransanta Sahu and Chandra Bhattacharjee.

Harsh Goenka, chairman RPG Enterprises says,"RPG Academy of Art & Music has been organizing this art camp for years. Artists from different parts of the country paint together for a week at the camp. The key feature of the camp is that artists are free to work in a natural environment and exchange views among themselves, experiment with new techniques, concepts and approach. The camp attracts renowned artists and thus creates a platform for young artists to interact with senior artists"

Vickram Sethi, the other prime mover of the camp, who, together with Goenka, came up with the concept, adds, "This year, like every year, we have seen an interesting mix of names in the arena of art. We started the camp with an idea of providing the artists, who come from varied backgrounds with a liberated environment, proximity to nature and the confluence of creative capabilities. Several senior artists are regulars at the camp."
