Ambuja Realty's Siliguri hospital to be ready by October end

Ambuja Realty's 250-bed hospital in Siliguri is likely to be operational by the end of October, company Chairman Harshvardhan Neotia said today.

RAICHAK: Ambuja Realty's 250-bed hospital in Siliguri is likely to be operational by the end of October, company Chairman Harshvardhan Neotia said today.

"The hospital is almost ready in Siliguri. We expect it to be operational in a month-and-a-half," he said.

Set up under the NeotiaGetwel Healthcare Centre brand, the project is reported to have been built with an initial investment of Rs 250 crore.

The Ambuja Group already runs the Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre super-specialty 83-bed hospital in Kolkata.

Neotia also said the group is working on three boutique resort projects -- Vanya Kutir, Chia Kutir and Himal Kutir -- in Dooars region, Makaibari Tea Estate and Darjeeling, respectively.

The projects are expected to be complete over the next three to four years. There are also plans for a resort in Siliguri, whose name has not been finalised yet, he said.

Neotia refused be specific on the Group's investment plans saying, "it would be hundreds of crores over the next five years".

He was speaking at a media-preview of Bengali restaurant 'Sonar Tori' at the Raichak on Ganges.

Spread over a little less than an acre of land along the river Hooghly, the restaurant entails an investment of about Rs 4 crore and can play host to 35 people at a time.
