'9 pc bonus on life-long pensions schemes'

SBI Life Insurance on Wednesday announced a 9 per cent bonus, comprising of simple annual bonus of 5 per cent and guaranteed return of 4 per cent, on all its life-long pensions policies for 2006-07.

NEW DELHI: SBI Life Insurance on Wednesday announced a 9 per cent bonus, comprising of simple annual bonus of 5 per cent and guaranteed return of 4 per cent, on all its life-long pensions policies for 2006-07.
Of eight life-long pension schemes, the company declared a total revisionary bonus of 2.25 per cent on Sudarshan Plan A and 1.50 per cent on Sudarshan Plan B, SBI Life Insurance said in a statement.
The company has also declared a bonus of 2.5 per cent, an increase of 66 per cent over last years' bonus on child plan Scholar II, it said.
"The bonuses declared reflect our customer centric philosophy and commitment towards offering superior value to our customers," SBI Life Insurance Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director U S Roy said.
SBI Life Insurance is a 76:26 joint venture between State Bank of India and France-based Cardif SA with a paid-up capital of Rs 500 crore.
