60 shops in Indore sealed for property tax evasion

INDORE: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) today sealed 60 shops and many residential structures for evading property tax, an official said today.

The IMC Revenue Department also detected several cases of irregularities at under construction buildings and commercial establishments in the city, official said.

Seven revenue teams of IMC were deployed in sector-wise areas of the city on the direction of its Deputy Commissioner M P S Arora.

Shops located in areas including Chetak Centre, Johari Palace, Sagar Apartment, Swastic Apartment, Sahaj Apartment, Sarswati, Classic, Rohan, Silver, Dabur, Rajguru apartments, he said.

The assessing of property tax evasion is being carried out by the shop and flat owners.
