Sahara refund portal update- How to resubmit claim
Depositors awaiting their money from Sahara Group cooperative societies can now have a clearer and more streamlined path to refunds, as the central government has simplified the process through the CRCS-Sahara refund portal.

The portal has been designed to make claims more transparent and user-friendly, especially for those whose earlier applications faced deficiencies or payment failures. With the reopening of resubmissions for claims up to Rs 10 lakh, eligible investors can now reapply and expect processing within a defined timeline.

Backed by a Supreme Court-monitored framework, the initiative aims to ensure that genuine depositors can recover their funds in a structured and secure manner.


The Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) posted, “The Sahara refund process is now simplified and transparent. If you have invested in the notified Sahara Cooperative Societies, you can now claim your refund through the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal.”

This portal is for depositors for whom deficiencies and/or payment failures have been communicated.
Sahara depositors who are new users can register and submit their claims at https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/
Sahara depositors who wish to resubmission details for claim aggregating up to Rs 10,00,000. Resubmitted claims will be processed within 45 working days.


What is CRCS Sahara resubmission refund portal?

The CRCS Sahara resubmission refund portal is an online platform designed for reprocessing the claims of those depositors/members of four Sahara Group Co-operative Societies, to whom deficiencies have been communicated. The entire process of refund is undertaken on the basis of SOP approved by Hon’ble Supreme Court Justice (Retd.) R. Subhash Reddy and under the guidance of Gaurav Agarwal, Advocate and Amicus Curiae, as per an order of Hon’ble Supreme Court vide order dated March 29, 2023, in the matter of IA No.56308 of 2023 in WP (C) No. 191 of 2022 (Sahara Refund Matter).


Is the CRCS Sahara resubmission refund portal secured?

Yes, the CRCS resubmission refund portal is a secured online platform with SSL Certificate.


Is PAN number mandatory if the total claim amount is Rs 50,000 and above?

Yes, the depositor has to provide details of PAN card mandatorily, if the claim amount is Rs 50,000/- and above, across all Sahara societies.


Are Aadhaar-linked mobile number and bank account mandatory?

Yes, the depositor should have an Aadhaar linked mobile number and an Aadhaar-seeded bank account mandatorily without which, the claim request cannot be filed on the portal.


What is the process for the re-submission of my application on the re-submission portal?

The depositor will enter the 14-digit Claim Request Number (CRN) and validate through captcha.
The system retrieves the linked Aadhaar reference number.
If valid, the CRN will get the Aadhaar number from the stored reference number and an OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

If invalid, the depositor must enter a full 12-digit Aadhaar number for verification.
