Highest 555-day FD interest rates: Check list of banks offering up to 7.25% rate on special fixed deposit

Many public and private sector banks offer the 555-day special fixed deposit (FD) scheme. It is one of the popular special FD tenures where many banks offer higher interest rates compared to FDs of nearly or slightly higher tenures. Banks such as Bank of Baroda, Indian Bank, City Union Bank and Karnataka Bank are offering some of the highest interest rates on the 555-day FD. Here is a look at the banks offering the highest interest rates on the 555-day special FD.

City Union Bank offers an FD interest rate of 7.25% to general citizens on a tenure of 555 days, while senior citizens earn a higher rate of 7.50% on the same tenure.

Karnataka Bank offers an FD interest rate of 7% to general citizens, while senior citizens earn a higher rate of 7.40% on the 555-day tenure.

Indian Bank offers an FD interest rate of 6.80% to general citizens on a 555-day tenure. Senior citizens earn a higher rate of 7.30% on the same fixed deposit.

On its recently launched 555-day FD called the ‘bob Golden Goal Deposit Scheme’, the PSU bank offers a 6.75% interest rate to general citizens, 7.25% to resident senior citizens, 7.35% to resident super senior citizens, and up to 7.40% p.a. on non-callable deposits.

Union Bank of India offers an interest rate of 6.65% on the 555-day tenure to general citizens. For senior citizens, the rate offered is 7.15%.

Canara Bank offers an interest rate of 6.60% on the 555-day FD to general citizens and to senior citizens, the bank offers a 7.10% rate.
