Gold and silver prices dipped slightly today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, across major jewellers. According to the morning updates from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the 24k fine gold rate was down compared to rates recorded on Monday evening. Prices of 22k gold are also down at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers and Tanishq today.

Gold outlook

Vedika Narvekar, research analyst, ommodities & currencies, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, says, “Gold is holding steady around $4,140 an ounce, as markets weigh a stronger dollar and rising yields against the Fed's rate path. The dollar is near its highest level this year, helped by a bond selloff in France that's got markets watching for signs of wider contagion in Europe. Treasury yields, meanwhile, keep pushing to multi-decade highs, and a US services inflation report just showed cost pressures growing at their fastest pace in over four years.”
